Lancaster DIOCESAN BRANCH - Formed 1953President: Mrs Anne Marshall
Treasurer: Mrs Christine Burke
Secretary: Mrs Sue Gornall
Branch Chaplain: Rev. Fr. Tony Ashcroft

Members enjoying the sun at our Branch Pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Fernyhalgh and the Martyrs.
Sections at: Barrow-in-Furness, Blackpool, Bolton-le-Sands, Carlisle, Fleetwood, Garstang, Lytham, Penrith, Poulton-le-Fylde, St. Anne’s, Thornton, Ulverston and Walney Island. Lancaster Branch stretches from Blackpool area to the borders of Scotland and consists of 10 sections, 3 small sections and 10 direct members.
We have representatives for WUCWO, CAFOD, OLC, Women together in the Diocese, Relief and Refugee and Women’s World day of Prayer to name but a few organisations. Some members help at our local Shrine at Fernyhalgh, near Preston, where we have a Diocesan and Branch Pilgrimage every year. While all sections are involved in fund-raising and ecumenical work within their Parishes and for the Branch, raising money for various charities in many different ways, the friendship among our members is most important, with members of adjoining sections meeting regularly for social and celebratory occasions.
Like many other Branches our numbers are dwindling, but not our love for the League, or our enthusiasm or work for the many different Charities in our sections.
